Clear blue skies and some challenging light winds saw 7 cadets take to the water for this year’s 2017 Goolwa Frostbite Regatta at the Goolwa Yacht Club. There was a great range of abilities within the fleet with some familiar faces, some newbies and a few new skipper/crew combinations.more

South Australia has been a hive of activity this Summer and with many regattas now over, the 55th Nationals for International Cadets has hit its largest number in recent years with 78 entrants.more

Stuart learnt to sail at his high school Kormilda College in Darwin. One of the activities the school did was enter a team into the Darwin to Ambon Yacht race every year. As part of their training they would sail on the yacht on Saturdays and then dinghy race on Sundays.more

2016 State Championships Results

A huge thank you to Adelaide Sailing Club for their hospitality on a wonderful weekend in March, the weather was glorious, however, it didn't help much with the wind giving us a slow start to the regatta especially in the mornings. There was no outright boat on the day, with a mixed bag of results for all those that participated.more

The 2015/2016 International Cadet Class Nationals will be taking place at Middle Harbour Yacht Club between 27 December 2015 and 4 January 2016.
There are over 50 entries, with 6 ICCASA members will be attending the regatta representing South Australia. All showed some great sailing in the recently completed Youth Tri-Series and we wish them safe travels and success at Sydney.more

Largest fleet head to Largs for the 2nd leg of the tri-series

Largs Bay Sailing Club did a great job at hosting the second leg of the South Australian Youth Tri Series, which is sponsored by The Sailing Shop, last weekend.

We had 13 International Cadets competing, the most we have had this season with boats travelling from Port Lincoln, Adelaide Sailing Club and Brighton & Seaton Yacht Club. The conditions were quite challenging throughout the regatta.more

The Association are delighted with Port Lincoln youngsters Marty Hood and Jack O'Donnell who represented South Australia as part of the Australian Team, back in January 15, Marty, 15, and Jack, 13, had just finished seventh in the international cadet national championships on familiar waters at Port Lincoln.more
