There was a great turn-out for the junior sailing this weekend. All seven boats were on the water and there was plenty of action with a great breeze blowing.

At first the breeze started from the south and was around thw 8kn mark. During the racing the breeze moved around and headed to the south east. Most of the sailors had picked the shift and were rewarded with some great reaches and downwind sailing. The work to the top mark was a bit of an easy option with boats being able to lay the top mark from the start line.

Kristian and Caleb were looking very good in the light winds. Iggy and Kasper were also tacking well. The crew of Alexander had his dad were also looking very good and sailed some great races.

On the water it was obvious that the sailors skills had improved and were looking great. Their tacks were quick and their gybing was good.

A great day. Look forward to next Sunday.

In their first year as a competitive sailors Iggy Dunn and Daniel Morris  traveled to Tinaroo in Nth QLD to compete in the inaugural OpenBic titles. It was a gret result for the club with both boys competing well over the event. Iggy managed to be the highest placed NSW competitor.

The Open Bics are coming and at the end of the season we are going to be hosting the OpenBic National titles her in Forster

A great start to the 10-11season

A warm welcome to all the new sailors to the junior program.
