Three Selected in KickStart Leadership Camp

Three players aligned to AFL Goldfields Leagues have been selected in the final squad of 26 players as part of the AFL KickStart Program squad and have been shortlisted to a group of players who will be invited to attend the KickStart Future Leaders Camp in Halls Gap on March 18th to 20th. This will be followed by a match against a St Patrick’s College side in Ballarat before the final squad of 22 players being selected to participate in the U/15 National Championships in Townsville starting on the 3rd April. The KickStart Indigenous Program has been specifically designed to use football as a vehicle to promote awareness in participation, health, education and employment to Indigenous communities.

Cooper Craig-Peters (Redan), Brayden Jones (Mount Clear) and Myles King (Redan) have all been selected in a final squad of 26 players who will attend the camp next weekend in Halls Gap.

AFL Goldfields RGM Rod Ward said, “This is a great effort by the three boys to make it through to the next stage of AFL Kickstart Program and we’re thrilled for their involvement in such a worthwhile program that the AFL runs. Their involvement will certainly result in a fantastic experience that they can adapt to everyday life.”
