Goldfields AFCA

The local Goldfields branch of the Australian Football Coaches Association (Goldfields AFCA) will once again run the Coach of the Month and Coach of the Year program in 2016.

The Goldfields AFCA will be able to provide the following items to local coaches.

  • Coach Accreditation
  • Newsletters
  • Coaching Resources
  • Information Nights / Seminars
  • Coach Recognition

In 2016 the Goldfields AFCA once again invites all clubs from within the Goldfields Region (BFL, RDFL, CHFL, MCDFNL & Youth Girls) to participate in the Coach of the Month and the Coach of the Year Program for Senior, Youth and Junior Coaches.

This program will provide the club of the successful coach of the month nominee with a Footy Mart voucher to the value of $200. The successful coach will be provided with a meal voucher to the Ballarat Leagues Club to the value of $50. The Coach of the Month will take place for the months of:

  • April
  • May
  • June
  • July

The successful Coach of the Year from each League at Senior, Youth & Junior will be presented with a plaque to be presented by the relevant Football Development Manager at a Regional Community Awards Night. All Coaches nominated for the Coach of the Month will be eligible for League Coach of the Year along with nominations provided by each League.

The Goldfields Regional Coach of the Year for Senior, Youth & Junior will then be selected from the League winners and each COY winner for Senior, Youth & Junior will be presented with an engraved watch as recognition of their achievement. Regional Coach of the Year winners will also be nominated for the Statewide Coach of the Year.
