It wasn’t the first official round for the 2016 season, but this Easter weekend saw a great match between Doveton and Hampton Park.
While it may be early days let’s review the games in brief.
In a reverse hosting role from last year Doveton took on Hampton Park in the annual Good Friday match. Doveton started the day off flying and the Redback’s just didn’t have any answers for them. It wasn’t until halfway through the second that Hampton Park registered a major. The Doves had 6 individual goal scorers for the game which is fantastic to have multiple avenues to goal, however they will need to straighten up after kicking 20 behind as well. An improved Officer (even with a new name – formally ROC) will be a tougher challenge for Doveton, while Hampton Park take on an old foe, Cranbourne in two weeks’ time.
