Referee Feedback - Junior Competitive
Sunshine Coast Referee Department Junior Development Officer, Phil Townsend, is looking for your help to shape the future of refereeing on the Sunshine Coast. He is asking all coaches of all junior teams to participate in an assessment process of referees and their assistants over the next 4 weeks. At the conclusion of a game and by following the link; https://form.jotform.co/70998994416881 coaches can provide feedback on the referee team assigned, offering advice, comments and observations. The form takes about 5 minutes to fill out and covers areas such as fitness, consistency and confidence.
Phil stated, ‘By engaging with the coaches over an extended period, I hope to get a view from the other side on the perceptions by coaches of the referees, their comprehension of the laws and help me to tailor our training plans for the juniors to more practical areas of match day refereeing, those that cause the most frustration for both sides. I am hoping this 360 degree approach gives me an insight into how our referees are seen and be able to manage expectations on both sides. I am hoping that all coaches embrace this opportunity to help develop our young referees. This process relies upon honest feedback, win lose or draw’.
The feedback process begins on Saturday 22nd of April 2017 for 4 weeks.
