Summer 6's

Under the motto – Football for Everyone, Summer6’s is all about providing a fun, fast, social format of the game during the off-season. It involves 6 players on each team on a modified, smaller pitch. With a large emphasis on fun, fitness and social benefits that only a team sport can offer, it is suitable for people of all age and skill levels.

Summer6’s is perfect for current players who want to keep active over the summer, those who have played but don’t have time to dedicate to a full winter season, individuals who just want to have some fun with friends and it is also a great opportunity for new participants to begin playing football in a fun and social setting.

Zones and Clubs can now register their intent to deliver Summer6’s with Football Queensland via a Request to Host Summer6’s Request Form. Applications will be approved on a selective basis so that each Summer6’s Centre has protected geographic boundaries to ensure viability.

When approved, Football Queensland will provide a Summer6’s package which will include all documents relating to MyFootballClub setup, registration processes and rules, access to a competition management system to register teams, generate draws, record results and manage points tables and publish onto the club’s individual Summer6’s website.

Each Summer6’s player/team registration will attract a Football Queensland Social Registration Fee for which Clubs will be invoiced directly. In return each authorised Club will receive:

 - accreditation to run Summer6’s;

 - access to the online Summer6’s competition administration and communication system;

 - access to Summer6’s marketing and communication material;

 - access to personal injury, general liability, management liability and professional indemnity insurance; and

 - dispute resolution and legal support.
