2016 Coaching Courses

Details of the coaching courses for 2016 and also reaccreditation process.

As per AFL NSW/ACT Regulations all coaches must hold a current accreditation of at least Level 1.

AFL Coaching Conference

Date: 5-7 February 2016

Level 2 Course

Date: 20-21 February 2016
Venue: Blacktown
Cost: $275.00
Requirements: Coaches must have completed a Level 1 course in youth or senior coaching with   a minimum 12 months’ experience prior to gaining a level 2 accreditation. Please note Level 2 courses are conducted infrequently in NSW/ACT.

Level 1 Courses

Cost: $175.00
Requirements: The course is completed in two parts. All coaches must complete the online coaching course in addition to attending the coaching course in person. Accreditation is not finalised until both components have been completed.

Level 1

To maintain accreditation, coaches must demonstrate that they:

• Continued to coach during the four years (letter from club president/referee)

• Are prepared to complete and sign a Coach Registration Form

• Are prepared to sign the AFL Coaches’ Code of Conduct when seeking reaccreditation

• Supply a cheque for the amount of $75 payable to AFL NSW/ACT (administration costs and membership of the Coaches Association for a further four years)

Level 2:

To maintain a Level 2 or 3 accreditation , coaches must demonstrate the same requirements as Level 1 along with providing evidence of further coach development in the form of:

Courses undertaken, whether football specific or generic
Presentations made as part of other coaching courses
Articles written or submitted on coaching topics
Working within a Coach Coordinator role throughout the four-year period
Mentoring other coaches
Any other evidence of coach development/improvement
