The Veolia Mulwaree Trust kicks new goals for the Southern Tablelands Football Association

The Southern Tablelands Football Association (STFA) now has a new look to the majority of our playing fields in 2013, with the provision of 12 new sets of goals and nets thanks to a grant of $33,142 from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust.

The funding, combined with additional funding from the STFA, has assisted us to improve the current infrasturucture of Goals on fields 1,2 and 3 which as mainly used by competition teams in the Under 12 to the All Age men division one teams which play in the joint competition with the Highlands Association.

These new state of the art goals are much lighter and safer then the previous steel posts and crossbars. They are fitted with quickrelease net tie which means it takes parents and grounds staff less time to set them up.

In addition we were able to obtain new goals and nets for the non competitive teams playing in the Small Sided Games with age groups from Under 6 to Under 11 and we happy to say that all players in these age groups are now playing on field which all boast new goals and nets sets.

Thanks to the Veolia Mulwaree Trust we were able to provide some much needed spectator seating on the larger fields for our loyal supporters.

“With the support and assistance of this grant from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust, the STFA has been able to update and improve our field infrastructure which has been long over due in coming “ Alan Caldow, Chairman of the STFA stated.

“The development of these fields as a result of this grant will assist us to provide better quaility facilities and amenities to the players, our supporters and the wider local community.”
