TOUCH IS ON TONIGHT 31.8.17. FIELD ALTERATIONS WILL BE IN PLACE

Council has undertaken major filling,top dressing on our fields during the week without our knowledge. There is soil spread across a large area of the oval. Touch will continue tonight, however there will be field boundary changes and cones used to highlight lines. All players should assess the condition of the fields before playing. If you have a safety concern please do not play.more

FALCONS NSW REPRESENTATIVES 2017

A big congratulations to Matiese Trisley (opens) and Lucy Spain (15's) who have been selected to play for NSW All Schools. Matiese progressed through the levels in the CHS system and Lucy via the CIS system. Both players are talented athletes and earned their selections through hard work and commitment. WINTER COMPETITION ADJUSTMENT DUE TO WASHOUTS

The 2017 winter competitions will recommence on Thursday 20.7.17 . Games will be played on each Thursday until 31st August which will be the final round (Round 12). Thursday 7th September will be a combined Semi Finals (1v4 and 2v3) in each division and Grand Final (winners of the 2 semi finals) evening.more

At our Thursday nights AGM Daniel Wassens (President), Vicki Wassens (Secretary, Myles Thompson (Vice President) and Catie Thompson (Treasurer) stood down from these positions for a deserved break. WINTER COMPETITIONS COMMENCE THIS COMING THURSDAY 11.5.17

Winter comps commence this Thursday, 11th May. The draw will be on the website in the coming days. The 4 Mens Teams and 4 Mixed Open A Grade will be a combined Division of 8. The 11 Mixed Open B Grade teams will play in their own division. There will be 2 timeslots, 6pm start and 6.40pm start. Games will be 30 minutes straight, no half time. Team payment of $900 is required by round 2. Thanks.more

BOOTS 4 PNG Program

We have been asked to join the Hornsby Lions Touch Football Association in the Boots 4 PNG program. If anyone has pre loved touch / sports shoes or touch shirts /singlets could you bring them into the control room at touch on a Thursday afternoon for the next 5 weeks. We will then hand them to Hornsby who will transport them to Brisbane for the use of less fortunate people in PNG. Thankyou.more

Falcons win first trophy at a State Tournament

Our Association has won it's first trophy at a major NSW tournament with the Womens 20's at the 2016 NSW State Cup. Congratulations ladies. Our Association had Mixed opens, Senior Mixed, Mens 20's and Womens 20's completing at the NSW Touch Football Associations premier seniors tournament. A huge thankyou to all of our players, coaches, managers, referees and our magnificent spectators.more

TOUCH FOOTBALL IS ON UNLESS IT STATES ON THIS WEBSITE THAT IS CANCELLED. Just because it is raining doesn't mean it is off. If the fields are not under water and are playable touch will be on.
If there is lightning near by at the time of kickoff or during games we will decide then the appropriate decision.more

Northern Eagles National Touch League Trials - Coffs Harbour Saturday 8 October, 11am

If you are interested in trialling for Northern Eagles National Touch League senior age divisions (30's, 40's 45's etc )you are invited to attend trials at Advocate Park Coffs Harbour, Saturday 8 October, 2016, commencing at 11am. Trials for open divisions (Mens/Womens T League/Open mixed) are at the same venue and time on Saturday 12 November. EOI are to be completed at the Eagles website.more

Brin Trisley and Wulaaran Walker selected for NSW PSSA

Congratulations to Brin Trisley and Wulaaran Walker who have both been selected to play for NSW in the Australian All Schools National championships in Perth in October. Both were selected from the recent NSW PSSA State Finals in Coffs Harbour whilst playing for Polding and North Coast respectively. Go you Falcons.more

MATIESE TRISLEY SELECTED FOR NSW ALL SCHOOLS U16'S

Matiese is set to play for the NSW U16's all schools team in the National Championships in Perth in October. Matiese was selected from the NSWCHS team after they won the State Final 4-0 over NSW CCC. She will play against all of the other Australian States and Territories, but has her sights set on downing Queensland in particular. Well done Matiese and good luck. Go you Falcon.more

CLAIRE SPAIN SELECTED FOR NSW STATE DEVELOPMENT SQUAD

Congratulations to our Claire Spain who has been selected into the NSW State Development Squad (Girls 18's). Claire was selected from the Junior Regional Championships where she was playing for Northern Eagles Girls 18's. She becomes our first Macksville Falcons female junior to be selected at the full State Level. Jai Doolan was our first male to be selected which was in 2014.more

MATIESE TRISLEY SELECTED IN NSWCHS OPENS TEAM

Matiese Trisley has continued her outstanding touch football journey being selected in the NSWCHS opens team. This puts her in the top 14 girls in the public high school system in NSW and at only 15 years of age. Our association is so proud of her achievements. NSW JUNIOR REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

Our representatives in the Northern Eagles 14/16/18's participated in a very tough tournament of touch on the weekend, but all appeared to enjoy themselves and I'm sure learn't a lot. The best performing Eagles teams were the girls 14's with Lucy Spain who lost the semi final and the boy's 16's with Beau Langford who made the grand final, going down to Hunter Western Hornets. Damian Cross our first State Badged Referee Level 4

Congratulations to Damian Cross (Damo) who was awarded his Level 4 Referee Badge at the recent State Cup. Damian has worked hard to achieve this level which included attending many tournaments across NSW and Queensland where he has been assessed by the NSW State Referees panel. We are hoping Damo will continue on over the next couple of years and progress to the top Level 6.more

PLAYERS ARGUING WITH REFEREES OVER DECISIONS.

There has been a marked increase in the number of players arguing with referees this season. Rule 18 states that players are not to talk to the referee. The Captain may respectfully and politely enquire briefly with the referee on decisions. Players arguing with referees and Captains who are not respectful and polite can be sent from the field.more

PLAYERS SENT FROM THE FIELD .

As per our rules and Touch Football Australia Playing Rules 7th edition any player that is sent from the field for the remainder of the game (not sin bin) by the referee will serve an automatic minimum 2 games suspension. The Committee may increase this suspension period for more serious misconduct as it sees fit. The appeals process costs $200. See our document links for appeals process.more

$550 FINE FOR SMOKING AT A SPORT EVENT

Please be aware that NSW Health - Tobacco Compliance Officers will now be issuing fines to people found smoking at sporting events.
Smoking has been banned at sport venues in spectator areas since 7 January 2013 under the Smoke-free Environment Act 2000.

The fine for smoking at a sporting event is $550 to the individual smoker.
