Davis returns for QBL Brisbane Capitals Women

The Brisbane Capitals QBL Women have resigned combo guard Sarah Davis for the 2013 season.

Davis who has played at Brisbane since she first dribbled a basketball is looking forward to the challenge set out by Coach Veal to take her game to another level “when you are learning from the best you can only get better” said Davis.

Davis who is known for being a tenacious defender and on most occasions last year had to guard a player with WNBL credentials with the likes of Nicole Romeo & Jessica Bibby. When asked about whether she would take on that challenge again this year “whatever Kristen asks me to do I will do… I have nothing to lose, it’s a good challenge”.

Davis who contributes in ways not kept on the stat sheet will look to improve on her averages of 5.6 points, 1.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game whilst still locking down the other team’s most potent guard.

Davis is fully aware of the areas in her game she needs to work on and is very ready to do the work to make those her strengths “my mid-range shooting, being able to pull up off the dribble and being able to create on my left hand are a few things I will add to my game” she went onto say.

Davis who was one of the advocates of the Caps in the Community program and understands the importance of representing the club and being a role model for the aspiring juniors “I hope there is more community involvement this year and I know the juniors coming through will get to have more interaction with the senior players”.
