Senior Write up 21st November Summary

Summer Soccer 21st November

It was a hot night for round 9 of the summer 7 aside football competition. Nobody was complaining about having late games this week.

Men’s A

There were no changes in the table this week as the top 5 sides all won their games. Ice men stayed on top on goal difference with an easy night against bottom placed EB’s Finest. Second placed Tomerong United also were convincing against Dirty Dave & the Boys. This could be decided on goal difference as the leaders both have a fairly easy run to the finals. Southern Pirates could be the dark horse if they perform at their best, they should slip in to 3rd spot.  Slytherin have a good chance of taking 4th position but they have to face 2nd placed Tomerong Utd in the last round. JB also have a chance but will need to win all their remaining games and hope somebody else slips up. Their last round game against Southern Pirates may be very important

Men’s B

Shoalies have skipped well clear of the pack on top of this grade, and they should stay there. There are six other teams that have a realistic chance of making the top 4. DTF bounced back from last week’s loss and moved in to second place. Tripper Snippers dropped back drawing with Less Than Average Joes. Rusty’s also lost ground with a loss to Choice Flooring. Thirsty Bears grabbed a share of fourth place with a win over Rainbow Warriors.                                                                                        Next week will see a top of the table clash between Shoalies & DTF, DTF must win to have any chance of finishing first.

Men’s C

DQC remained on top of this table without lacing on the boots, taking 3 points on the Bye.  They are the only men’s team that have won all their games.  Keaney’s Electrical was the only team in the top six to lose, going down to  Murph’s Homies who joined them in equal 5th position. Vidgers Aesthetics stayed in second beating Bupa Boys. Illuminati really kicked some grass winning by 7 goals. Eldiable also had a big score winning by nine against cullunghutti. The leaders clash next week, this game will probably decide who finishes first, unless there any upsets in the final weeks.

Men’s D

The top four teams all won so there were no changes at the top. Exies remain it front after the “local Derby” against Unreal Madrid, it was a close game but Exies came out in front. Sherpa Gavins held on to second after a close tussle with Just For Laughs. Bomo Blues helped their goal average with a big win over Mornin Glories. Last minute also piled on the goals scoring nine against It’s a Trap.

It will be on the line next week when first & second clash, Exies can pretty much wrap up top spot if they win, while Sherpa Gavins can overtake them with a victory.  Five teams will fight for the other 2 semi positions

Over 35s

Nowra City Holden continued on their winning way. They had to work hard in the heat but never looked like losing against a strong Basin side.

Dills moved up the ladder with a close win over Berry donuts, while Moobs were humiliated by Ray while who scored 11 goals.

The following pack made no mistake all of them winning to close up the gap. Pricy Girls stayed well in front and remain unbeaten they are 6 points clear and look unbeatable. They had a convincing win over Austbrokers Angels. Second placed Mobile Welding got the easy three points with the bye.       Mizfits improved their goal difference scoring eleven times against Classics.  In an unusual scoreline in the 7 a side game True Blue and Amity both failed to score finishing nil all.

Ladies D

The competition leaders The Jetts had an easy assignment against the bottom places Pretenders. They won convincingly and retained the lead. Second placed Bomaderry Bowling Club also did it easy winning by 4 goals against Spitting Llamas. The Llamas dropped down a position and were the only team in the top six to lose. Uni Girls scored eight goals to easily account for Forget-Me-Nots.
