We aim to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as a member of their local, national and international community.

The principal methods used by the Scout Association to achieve its aims are:
- Voluntary membership of a uniformed group which, guided by adults,
- Commitment to a code of living as expressed in the Promise and Law,
- Provision of a wide range of attractive, constructive and challenging activities,
- Provision of opportunities for leadership and responsibility;
- Learning by doing;
- Encouragement of activities in small groups;
- An award scheme that encourages participation in the full range of activities.

We can trace our origins back to 1908 when our Group was founded by the Geelong Try Boys Brigade. It is the oldest Scout Group in the Geelong Region. It has an active Cub Scout Pack and Scout Troop of boys and girls from 8 to 15 years of age who meet on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.

The Adult Leaders and Group Committee members are all Volunteers.

Cubs - Tuesdays  6-30pm to 8pm
Scouts - Wednesdays  6-30pm to 8-30pm

In the Shannon Hall at Try Boys.
