FREE Sport and Recreation Workshops - Townsvlle

Sports Medicine Australia is a not for profit professional association of health professionals committed to improving safety in sport and physical activity for the goal of improving the health and well being of all Australians.
In this 2 part workshop you will learn safe and effective use of taping
techniques to prevent sports injuries including ankle, thumb, and
fingers along with techniques for the shoulder, knee and elbow.
Beginner Sports Strapping
Introductory course discussing the basic techniques of taping a thumb, finger and ankle for the prevention of sports injuries.
Advanced Sports Strapping
A practical workshop that focuses on the more advanced taping techniques used on athletes. Sports physiotherapists demonstrate and discuss the finer points of taping the knee, shoulder and injuries associated with these joints.
You are required to attend both workshops.

Light refreshments will be provided from 5.45pm.
There is no charge to attend these Workshops.
