Resources (Balls, Cones, Playing Strips, Rules, Coaching Drills etc)
Each team will be issued a number of balls, cones, playing shirts, water bottles, etc that belong to the Club. As members of that Club, I would expect that you would look after that equipment as if it were your own as it is usually costly to replace and eventually members have to pay by way of increased fees.
Please do not leave balls in locked cars with windows wound up. The temperature rises and so does the air in the ball to the point that it explodes. A team official (coach or manager) will sign for the equipment that is issued to that particular team. You may have noticed that most, if not all your balls are of the same make/design to assist you in distinguishing them from others. If you get 6 balls at the beginning of the season, we expect 6 back at the end of the season. We accept that accidents happen and balls go flat, however we ask that you return the busted/flat ball and we will replace it so that the status quo remains. This applies to all types of equipment. Please ensure that playing strips do not go into driers. If you delegate the washing of the playing strips (and I encourage you to do so as you will be doing enough for the team – share the work load) please ensure that all parents are aware not to put the shirts into tumble driers. More information will be discussed at the Coaches and Manager’s Meeting.
