Congratulations firstly to Stuart McManus who not only picked up the Yellow Jersey with his win at the Melbourne to Ballarat Road Race on 21st July, but also took home the White Jersey for the first J19 rider to cross the line.  This is the first time that Stuart has contested the Melb to Ballarat in the Senior field and he leaves his name in the history books beside many other big names of the previous winners list. Stuart started off second limit at 28 minutes and took out the sprint finish to claim the ultimate prize of the day ahead of 263 other riders. Well done Stuart.

Two other Castlemaine riders; Paul Maltby and Christian de Vrieze also aquitted themselves very well in the large field, both finishing well up the rankings. Congratulations to you all. Full results are not to hand at the moment but will be posted on the Cycling Victoria website.

Congratulations Sean Congratulations also to Sean Finning who will be heading off to the Paralympics late in August.  Sean has accepted the position of pilot with the visually impaired rider Bryce Lindores.  Sean spent a long stint in Queensland training and competing with Lindores in 2011, and early this year he returned to Victoria to continue his own cycling career. Sean received a call up to cover the position when Lindores new pilot was refused a visa to enter Britain for the Paralympics.  Sean will be making the most of this opportunity and will be joining the team at a training camp in Europe early in August.

Best wishes from all of your club mates Sean and we hope that you can bring home the bling.
