MARIA LIKU LIFTS TO TOP 8 AT THE OLYMPICS
Maria Liku became the best placed Fiji athlete, ever, at any Olympics, when she came 8th in the 63 Kg category weightlifting competition
Maria lifted a total of 82 Kg in the snatch and 100Kg in the Clean & Jerk, to record a total of 182 Kg.

Maria is currently placed in the top 3 in the Commonwealth and with a further improvement by 20 Kg in the next two years, is capable of winning Gold at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, in 2014.
