Mother Earth futureFERNS #NutsAboutNetball

Keep an eye out this week as we launch the Mother Earth futureFERNS #NutsAboutNetball campaign. Running from 12-23 March on Netball New Zealand social media channels, the promotion is designed to increase awareness and registrations for the junior Netball programme.

From Tuesday 13 March until Sunday 19 March on NNZ’s Facebook and Instagram pages we’ll be posting clues and hints as to where you can find Mother Earths loved Mascot, Basil the Squirrel. Netball fans are encouraged to head out and find the posters of Basil, snap a picture of you and Basil (the nuttier the better), and share the photo with the hashtag #NutsAboutNetball and you’re in the draw to win from epic prizes from Mother Earth. There will be two sets of clues. North Island's will be on the 13th and 19th and South Island the 14th and 19th, so make sure you check back to see if Basil is coming to a town near you!

The Silver Ferns have even gotten behind the promotion, sharing their love of the game and welcoming Basil and the Mother Earth team to the Netball family. Members of the national squad hung out with Basil recently and shared why they are #NutsAboutNetball and why you should join the Mother Earth futureFERNSgang!

So make sure you head over to the Netball New Zealand Facebook page for instructions and daily clues. And if Basil doesn’t make it to a town near you don’t worry, you can still play. Just take a snap showing us how you’re #NutsAboutNetball, upload and tag the photo along with which the name of the Centre you play Netball at and we’ll put you in the draw!
