NetballSmart Coach Workshop - 23rd March

NetballSmart is a highly practical workshop endorsed by ACC and Netball New Zealand in an effort to lower the risk of ACL knee injuries to help keep netballers in the game for longer.

Aimed at: Coaches of Year 7 & 8, Secondary, Senior and Community (Social) level

Date: Thursday 23rd March from 7.00pm to 8.30pm

Venue: On-court at the ASB Sports Centre

Facilitator: Central Pulse Physio Nikki Lynch

Purpose: 
To provide coaches with the information and skills necessary to enable them deliver and facilitate the fundamentals of a NetballSmart Dynamic Warm Up and education re jump and landing skill acquisition, injury prevention and performance enhancement.

This is currently the sole NetballSmart introductory workshop on offer pre-season and is strongly endorsed by Netball New Zealand as a compulsory warm-up for all netballers as it has been designed specifically to reduce the likelihood of ACL knee injuries. It has a strong focus on strength, stability, dynamic preparation and netball-specific movement.

Please come dressed to fully participate as Nikki demonstrates then walks you through various exercises and activities.

In the instance your coach is unable to make it or partake in the physical elements of the workshop, we encourage a player to come along in order to absorb essential information to take back to educate and demonstrate correct technique to the team.

Cost:
We are fortunate that this workshop is funded by ACC through Netball New Zealand allowing it to be FREE to attend. Many thanks to all involved in providing this beneficial opportunity.
