2013 Ron Giorgi Tournament Rules

1. Games will be ten (10) minutes each way with two (2) minutes at half time.
2. No injury time will be given – however player safety must be taken into consideration and if a serious injury occurs, do not attempt to shift the injured player – move the game to the spare court (you will be notified on the day which court that is). 
3. There will be eight (8) minutes between each round and all teams must be ready to play at least one (1) minute before they are scheduled to play. Captains to toss to decide who has first center pass and which goal end – please advise the umpires before start of play.
4. If a team is unable to field a minimum of five (5) players at the start of any game, the game will be deemed a default. The non-offending team will receive two (2) points.
5. All games start and finish with the official bell/buzzer.
6. All teams must provide their own match ball and First Aid Kit (this included YOUR OWN ICE).
7. All games will be played, regardless of the weather being wet or fine.
8. If no umpire arrives with the team on the day – a fee of $100.00 is to be paid to the Venue Convener after the Umpire/Managers meeting.
9. There will be an Umpire-Managers meeting in the Pavilion at 8.30am.

Umpiring
All umpires must report to umpires room at 8.30am
1. EACH TEAM MUST SUPPLY 1 UMPIRE – TO BE NON-PLAYING UMPIRES (umpiring YOUR team).
2. If you require Hawkes Bay Netball to provide an umpire for you - an additional fee of $100.00 will be required with Entry Fee. Please note this on your entry form.
3. Please include their name and qualification (ie Centre/Local, Regional/Zone, NZ) on your entry form (white skirt – is not a qualification).
4. Check the draw for named personnel for their umpiring duties.
5. The umpires are to supply their own whistles.
6. Umpires not named on the draw may be called upon throughout the day if required.

Prizes
There will be no playoffs between grade sections. Prizes will be presented to all section winners, as well as grade winners, i.e. Senior Grade. In the event of teams drawing in a grade or section, a count back will be taken to determine the winner.
Food will be available from 8.30am. Hot food, drinks (hot & cold), pies, cakes – eftpos facilities available
SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED ANYWHERE WITHIN THE NETBALL GROUNDS OR BUILDINGS!
