Saturday 30th June the Netball Wellington Centre shall be holding a Gold Coin Day to help raise funds for the Centre's Under 17s representative teams for the 2012 season. Members of the Under 17 teams shall be posted at entry points to the Kilbirnie ASB Sports Centre and wander around the court area to gratefully accept any gold coins you are able to spare.

The Centre has two Under 17 teams made up of a great bunch of talented players. They have had a great start to the season with the Under 17 Black Team winning the Steffensen Tournament held in Palmerston North and also taking out the Molly Dorne Tournament just last weekend. The U17 Black team are currently preparing to head to Christchurch for the Netball New Zealand U17 Age Group National Championships to defend the title they won last year. The Tournament runs from the 9th - 12th July and we wish them all the best of luck!
