THANK YOU to all those who took the time to attend our Under 14 trials.  We are grateful that you made every effort to show your talents to the best of your abilities and give your all.  Our Selectors enjoyed the chance to observe you all in action and seeing such a vast array of skill on display which made for a tough decision-making process.  A big thank you to Selectors and Umpires for giving their time throughout the process.

It has been decided we shall name one NWC Under 14 team made up of 12 players.  Given it is our first time entering a Under 14 and the team will mostly be competing in the Under 16 grade as part of the current tournament calendar, it has been deemed wise to see how the team fares and reassess future options upon reflection at the end of this year.  We appreciate this may result in some disappointment yet have been heartened by the skill level seen in attendance this year and certainly encourage Trialists to bring the same intensity and determination for next year.

Should your name not appear amongst the names below we thank you very much for putting your name forward to attend our trials and wish you all the very best this season.  We encourage unsuccessful players to continue fine-tuning your netball skills.  NWC will be looking into an opportunity to potentially host a follow-on development opportunity for the Under 14 age group in support of those who narrowly missed selection.  Due to the volume of Under 14 Trialists we may likely need to limit this to an invite-only opportunity but may depend on court booking availability at the ASB Sports Centre given this will be a new initiative.  If you would like to indicate your interest in attending a further player development opportunity we welcome you to email admin@netballwellington.co.nz so we can keep you in the loop.

In the immediate future we are running our April Holiday Netball Skills Clinic to be held on Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd April from 1pm to 3.30pm for Year 9-13. If keen to find out more follow this link to access further information including the online registration link.

As part of the trial process we are welcome Trialists to request feedback to assist with understanding not so strong areas to focus on for improvement.  We take great care to collate Selector's feedback and provide personal constructive input that will hopefully be of benefit.  Please note that due to the high number of trialists in U16, U18 and U14 grades we would appreciate some time to respond dutifully to all feedback requests.  Please therefore allow us until the end of the school holidays to respond which will allow us to collect and collate Selector's personal notes made during trials.  If interested in requesting feedback please email ndo@netballwellington.co.nz providing your name, trial number and age grade.

For those successfully named in the final teams, it is very important to know if for any reason you feel you may no longer be able to commit to playing for Netball Wellington Centre Reps this season as we now wish to commence full team training and form a solid team bond.  With that in mind, please advise via email to admin@netballwellington.co.nz or phone 04 387 6017 by 5pm Thursday 20th April.  We otherwise anticipate welcoming all named players to your first training (date listed below).
