Nominations welcome for 2014 Umpire Prize-Giving Awards

The 2014 Netball Wellington Centre Prizegiving will be held on Sunday 14th September at the Gasworks Miramar, 11 Tauhinu Road, Miramar.

At 5.30pm the Senior prize-giving will commence for all Senior, Premier Reserve & Premier grade teams and also includes Representative, Special Awards and Umpire Awards.

We encourage you to take some time to look over the three categories below and submit nominations for the Umpire Awards.
We encourage you not to just leave it up to the NWC Umpires Group to do - any NWC member is free to submit a nomination and we welcome you to do so.  If there has been a stand-out umpire or you have seen some oustanding qualities on display during your Saturday Winter Competition games or tournament experience please share.  All nominees will be acknowledged on the night.

Let us know your thoughts - NOMINATIONS CLOSE 5PM FRIDAY 5TH AUGUST!

The Netball Wellington Centre welcome nominations for the following three awards:

Contribution to Umpiring
An umpire who contributes their time of their own free will, unpaid and whose help has greatly benefited your umpiring group, you personally, NWC and/or the netball community

Junior Umpire of the Year
An U21 umpire who is umpiring consistently on the court no matter what level the game and is showing they have what it takes to continue on their umpiring pathway.
Please note that this doesn’t necessarily mean they are the top U21 umpire in the Centre.

Most Improved Umpire
An umpire that you believe has improved immensely over the 2014 season. It could be in confidence level, skill level, fitness and/or all round umpiring level.

Please access either the PDF or Word (editable) nomination form below and submit to gm@netballwellington.co.nz.  We ask that you please provide a paragraph with reasons for nomination to allow us to incorporate this into the prize-giving ceremony.

It would be appreciated if a contact name and email address were provided by those submitting nominations to allow us to come back to you for further clarification if required.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand.
