We have reached the end of the 2010 netball season however, that does not mean that you need to let your coaching skills slip in the off-season... we are offering several Netball New Zealand Coaching Modules in the month of December to keep your skills fresh and get you thinking ahead about some pre-season preparation for the 2011 season!
Here is a great chance to brush up on your coaching skills if thinking about coaching next year, or further developing your confidence and range of knowledge should you be returning to coach again next season. It is also a chance to get the compulsory Starting Out In Coaching and Player Centered Coaching courses out of the way prior to next year before the season starts and beat the rush!

Starting out in Coaching
NEW TO COACHING, LOOKING FOR NEW IDEAS…
The Netball New Zealand Starting Out in Coaching workshop is designed with you in mind. The course consists of 3 hours of mainly practical work to assist your development as a coach. It incorporates activities for practice sessions and game play. You will receive an excellent COACHING TOOL KIT, which contains many ideas in addition to those you will receive at the workshop. NO assignment or assessment – just a lot of fun and benefits for you. Please note that this module is compulsory before continuing through the NNZ coach development framework and replaces the old coaching levels (eg Level 1, 2). All coaches will need to sit this course before attending any further modules – even if you have your level 1 or 2’s! Please register quickly as the course is limited to 16 places!

Player Centered Coaching NEW TO COACHING, LOOKING FOR NEW IDEAS…
The Netball New Zealand Player Centered Coaching is the second workshop in the NNZ Coach Development Framework. The course consists of 3 hours of Leadership, Effective Coaching and consolidation from the NNZ Starting Out in Coaching Course you have already completed, and is the final compulsory unit before moving on to the Developing Modules. All coaches will need to sit this course after attending the Starting Out In Coaching course and before attending any further modules – even if you have your level 1 or 2’s! Register now as the course is limited to 16 places!

Module: Planning 1 Workshop The Netball New Zealand PLANNING 1 Workshop is one of the Developing modules in the NNZ Coach Development Framework. The course consists of 3 hours of Practice Planning, Tournament and Season Planning, and Evaluation Methods.
Module: Team Building Workshop
The Netball New Zealand TEAM BUILDING Workshop is one of the Developing modules in the NNZ Coach Development Framework. The course consists of 2.5 hours of Developing a Team Vision, Establishing and Re-establishing Team values, and Team Building Activities that can be utilised throughtout the season.
Please note that both Starting out in Coaching and Player Centered Coaching must have been completed in order to attend this module. Register now as the course is limited to 16 places!
