Player Development Support - Request Form

The Netball Wellington Centre offers the opportunity for individuals/schools/clubs/groups to request assistance with facilitating development programmes, activities and opportunities within the Wellington City area.

The three key areas that we can offer assistance with are development for Coaches, development for Umpires and development for Players.

 

COACH DEVELOPMENT:
A generic introductory level My Team & Me Workshop which is 2 hours in duration.  Minimum 10 attendees required, maximum 20 attendees permitted (some flexibility possible upon consultation).  Cost: $75 (GST inclusive).

A step up from My Team & Me would be the Player Centred Coaching course (NNZ accredited) which is 3 hours in duration.  Minimum 10 attendees required, maximum 16 attendees permitted (some flexibility possible upon consultation). Cost: $115 (GST inclusive).

UMPIRE DEVELOPMENT:

Umpiring 101 Workshop is 2 hours duration and  suitable for all ages and stages.  Minimum 15 attendees required, maximum 20 attendees permitted (some flexibility possible upon consultation). Cost: $75 (GST inclusive).

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT:
To request a facilitator for player development work it would cost $25 per hour (includes GST).  This option provides an affordable opportunity for individuals to gain some additional coaching or if split between a group of people it reduces the cost further.

Provided the minimum number of attendees is met, we are happy to travel to deliver these opportunities at a venue convenient to you.  All the better if you can provide a venue at no charge - if you require assistance we can assist with arranging hire of the Hataitai Netball Pavilion at an additional cost of $50 per workshop depending on availability.

We recommend workshops be run as a one-off block however if multiple shorter-duration sessions are preferred we must ask that participants be required to attend all parts in order to gain full benefit/accreditation where applicable.  It is sometimes hard to ensure participants attend the follow-up session/s which tends to negatively impact the participants’ learning opportunity as well as fails to make the most of facilitator’s time.  If wishing to split into multiple shorter-duration sessions to fit into your school day a little better there may be an additional $10 fee for each additional trip to the school to cover fuel costs & time out of the office for NWC facilitators.

All costs listed above cover the cost of the Facilitator and learning resources provided by the Netball Wellington Centre.  Each workshop mixes some theory and practical work and provides each attendee with a handy resource to keep and refer to throughout their season.
