Welcome to the 2009/10 Summer Twilight Netball Leagues.

Below is some information about when draws will be out, game times etc to pass on to your team members:

Game Times

Monday – 6.10pm, 7pm, 7.50pm & 8.40pm

Tuesday – 6.10pm, 7pm, & 7.50pm

Draw

The draw for this week will be sent out to each team by midday Thursday 1 October, and will also be available on our website www.netballwellington.co.nz. The draw for the remaining weeks of the season will be available on the website by next Tuesday and individuals can get weekly game reminders emailed to them by following the link on the right hand side of the draw page for your grade, where it says ‘Email Match Reminder’ . We have an uneven number in both the Women’s and Mixed competition, so please let anyone else know that they can still enter a team. If we still have an uneven number, each team in one grade will most probably have one ‘double header’ during the season.

Request for Game Times: While some teams have requested specific game times, this is not always possible due to opposition teams. We are starting the first round ten minutes later than last summer to allow people more time to get to Hataitai Park from work, home etc.

Reserve Day: If needed due to weather, we will play Monday 14 December, due to Netball Wellington Centre AGM on Monday 7 December.

Umpires

We require additional umpires for the Twilight Leagues, so if you or any of your team are wanting to earn a bit extra ($10 Voucher per game or $40 for 3 games) please email info@netballwellington.co.nz

Defaults

Defaults are to be avoided at all costs, so please ensure you have a full team for each game. Defaults will incur a $20 fine. If you do need to default, please contact the office on 386 0940 as soon as possible, to allow the opposition to be contacted.

Bibs

All teams must wear Bibs, which can be hired from the Game Office for $10 per game (with a $10 deposit) or $60 for the 8 games. Eftpos will be available for this.

 

Cancellations

All games will go ahead unless a combination of cold, wind and/or rain is considered too bad to play. Any cancellations will be posted on the front page of the website as soon as possible or by registering for text cancellations at http://www.sportcheck.co.nz/ to receive a text message. The Twilight League will be on Sportcheck by next Monday morning.Twilight Sponsorship

Netball Wellington Centre are running a ‘Win a Sponsorship’ competition, which closes on Thursday at 5pm. For each donation of $125 to Netball Wellington Centre, $25 will be donated to your Wellington Netball club of choice and the winner drawn will receive a sponsorship package valued at over $4,000. The sponsorship package consists of:

·         Naming rights to the October/November and February/March Summer Twilight Leagues at Hataitai Park. This summer we have received 72 team entries to date.

·         Logo with link on the Netball Wellington Centre website, www.netballwellington.co.nz

·         1 sign at the end of Court 1 for 12 months

·         1 x Team Entry in the February/March 2010 Twilight League

Food and Drinks

Since last Summer’s Twilight, we now have a snack machine and drinks machine inside the Pavilion, and will also be running a BBQ as in past seasons. Eftpos will be available for the BBQ from the Game Office.
