Nominations welcome for 2016 Service & Life Member Awards

In 2014 our Centre was fortunate to induct new Life Member Brenda Brider and new Service Award recipient Rita Aiono.

We'd love to continue to acknowledge and celebrate even more long-serving members of our netball community.  We know there are a number of worthy candidates who are deserving of the honour out there therefore we wish to launch the call for nominations and give schools and clubs more time up your sleeve to give due consideration to submitting your nominations.

If you know of someone who has made a valued contribution or service to netball, please take a look at the criteria and think about nominating them for these awards.

A Service Award nominee needs to have provided a significant contribution in administration, coaching and/or umpiring at Club, School, Associate member or NWC level.  The work itself must have been of an outstanding nature and the period of itself is not a qualification.

Life Member Award nominees needs to hold the Netball Wellington Centre Service Award at the time of nomination for Life Membership.  A suitable Life Member nominee is a person who has made an outstanding contribution to netball, with exceptional service in administration, coaching and/or umpiring at Club, School or as an Associate Member within NWC and/or NNZ.

It is vital that due care is taken to gather and provide as much information as you can to enable the Service Award and Life Membership Committee to consider the nomination favourably and make a well-informed decision.  The information will also be utilised during the awards presentation at the AGM in December.

Nominations need to be received via email to gm@netballwellington.co.nz, fax to (04) 387 8309 or post with supporting documentation to Netball Wellington Centre, PO Box 14-430, Kilbirnie, Wellington 6241 by Friday 4th November 2016.

Please find nomination forms and our Service Award & Life Member Policy attached below for reference.

Nominations close Friday 4th November 2016.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
