U15/U17 Representative Team Trials start 29th April - register now!

In 2011 the Netball Wellington Centre’s Representative Teams consisted of talented players who worked together to achieve great success. The U17 Black (1st) team won the National Netball New Zealand Age Group Championships coming first out of 32 teams competing throughout New Zealand. The U17 Gold (2nd) team also won the North Island U17 Tournament placing first out of eight teams. The U15 Black (1st) team took out a number of tournaments leading up to the Regional U15 Tournament but the high level of competition saw them achieve 5th overall in Grade 1 while the U15 Gold (2nd) team placed 16th in Grade 2. We are proud of our representative players with a number of players continuing on to take part in the Netball Wellington Region’s high performance programme.

Please note: While we had hoped to establish a Year 9 development team, a decision has been made that the Centre is not in the position to offer this for the 2012 season. If players were interested in trialing for Year 9 reps we encourage you to consider attending trials for the Under 15 team as the experience is highly beneficial and we welcome all talent from within the Netball Wellington Centre affiliated players.

Netball Wellington Centre would like to welcome all skilled young players to trial for the following netball representative teams in 2012:

  • Under 17 Squad (2 teams) – eligible trialists must be under 17 years of age as at 1st January 2012
  • Under 15 Squad (2 teams) – eligible trialists must be under 15 years of age as at 1st January 2012

All those interested in trialing for any of the above teams must attend all four trials held up at the Hataitai Netball Courts, 43 Ruahine Street, Hataitai – (please click here to view a location map: Map showing Hataitai Netball Courts) on the following dates:

  • Sunday 29th April between 10.00am - 12.30pm
  • Tuesday 1st May between 6.00pm – 8.30pm
  • Saturday 5th May 2012 - Ribbon Day held at Kilbirnie/Hataitai courts (optional chance for trialists to be observed by Selectors and Talent Scouts during Saturday game play)
  • Sunday 6th May between 10.00am - 12.30pm
  • Tuesday 8th May between 6.00pm – 8.30pm

While we strongly recommend that triallists are available to attend ALL trials, due consideration may be granted to those who indicate their unavailability upon submission of their representative trial nomination form. Please incidate any absences clearly so as not to unfairly disadvantage yourself.
