2010 New World is rewarding netball volunteers nationwide with $50,000 worth of New World gift cards over the 2010 season and is calling on the Kiwi public to nominate their netball heroes

The second annual New World Netball Volunteer Awards aim to recognise the many volunteers who contribute to the success of netball throughout New Zealand.

New World sponsorship co-ordinator, Margaret O'Sullivan says, "Netball volunteers across the country are out there every week rain, hail or shine refereeing games, coaching teams and giving up their free time.

"New World has a strong tradition of supporting local communities and as part of our sponsorship of Netball New Zealand and the Silver Ferns we are delighted to be able to recognise these volunteers who are the life blood of netball in New Zealand.

Do you know a volunteer who deserves a pat on the back? People wishing to nominate a netball volunteer can complete a nomination form from May through to August 2010 at netball centres nationwide.

Every week a volunteer from each netball centre will receive a New World $25 Gift Card to spend at a New World store of their choice.
