Community Netball Manager - Netball Northern Zone

The Netball Northern Zone is one of five Regional Sporting Organisation's for netball in New Zealand.  Our Zone reaches from Waiuku to the Far North and we work with over 33% of New Zealand's netball population. 

We are seeking a Community Netball Manager - a senior position within our organisation.   The Community Netball Manager is the advocate for community netball within our Zone and works closely with all 17 associated netball centres, RST's, schools, clubs and funding agencies. 

The role will input into and ensure effective delivery of a coordinated Community Netball Plan, which will:

  • Grow and sustain participation numbers for players, coaches, officials and administrators
  • Increase the quality for players, coaches, officials and administrators in all areas and at all levels
  • Improve capacity and capability at grassroots

This role will also play a critical part in developing, implementing and leading Netball's Whole of Netball Plan and the National Community Netball Plan, in conjunction with Netball New Zealand and the other Zone Community Netball Managers.

The community development aspect of our Zone has been firmly established as critical to the success of our business.  We require someone who has strong experience working in community sport, is a strategic thinker and planner, understands the complexities and opportunities presented, and has excellent relationship management skills.  You will be confident and calm when working alongside sporting partners and be very solution driven.  The role requires flexible working hours and a commitment to travelling throughout the Zone on a regular basis.
