Check it out - we made the local paper!

A big thanks to Nikki Papatsoumas from the Cook Strait News who came along to the first session of our new Netball NZ Junior Netball Pilot programme for Year 1-4 held at the Kilbirnie ASB Sports Centre. Check out the article & awesome photo featuring four of our enthusiastic Year 1&2 participants via this link: http://issuu.com/the.star/docs/213315cs/19  (pg19) or check out the attached PDF below.

The programme aims to introduce keen young participants to the fantastic sport of netball and teach them basic ball and movement skills.  With the use of smaller balls, lower hoops and fun activities all tied up with an easy modified game that allows everyone full involvement on court - it is proving a lot of fun for our young attendees and a great development opportunity for parents & junior coaches as well!

While the second session was held yesterday, there are still 5 weeks to go so plenty of time to take part.  The Junior Netball Pilot is held on Mondays - the Year 1&2 sessions run 3.30pm - 4.15pm and the Year 3&4 sessions run 4.30pm - 5.15pm.

Comment Guidelines: The SportsTG Network is made up of players, families and passionate sports followers like you who have a strong opinion about sport. That's great - we want you to have your say and share your thoughts with the world. However, we have a few rules that you must follow to keep it fun for all. Please don't be rude, abusive, swear or vilify others. Apart from some pretty serious sport sanctions, we also can ban you and report you if things get out of hand. So play fair and have fun, and thanks for your contribution.
