Want to be an Under 19 or Under 21 Rep this year?
The Netball Wellington Centre is calling all interested players aged under 21 years as at 1st January 2011 to register to become a part of our Centre's Under 19 and Under 21 representative teams taking part in the Combined Centres Netball Tournament held on Sunday 1st May at Walter Nash Stadium. This is a great opportunity for those aged under 21 who would like to have a bit of fun playing at representative level without the season-long commitment and for those that are a little more serious, it could be a good lead-in to trialing for the Netball Wellington Region Under 19 and Under 21 representative teams early in May. If interested, please complete a registration form and return via email to info@netballwellington.co.nz or fax to (04) 386 0945 by Monday 18th April.
Key Information and Dates:
Trials - There will be no formal trials undertaken in order to select these teams. Depending on number of nominations received, teams will be selected with additional input from the Nominators themselves.
Team Trainings – A coach will be appointed for each team and there will be a maximum of two team trainings held leading up to the Combined Centres Tournament.
Tournament - A Combined Centres Netball Tournament will be held on Sunday 1st May at Walter Nash Stadium, 10 Tocker Street, Taita. At least one Under 19 and one Under 21 team will be entered from each of the Netball Centres within the Wellington Region. The tournament is a fun event offering the opportunity for those who would love to get involved at representative level netball without the need to commit for an entire season.
Netball Wellington Region U19/U21 Representative Team Trials – Following the one-off tournament, trials will take place to select the Netball Wellington Region’s U19 and U21 Representative Teams. All those keen to trial for these teams are welcome to do so. You will need to register directly with the Netball Wellington Region – please see their website for further details: www.netballwellingtonregion.org.nz. Trial dates are 9.00am – 12.00pm Sunday 8th May and 6.00pm – 9.00pm Tuesday 10th May held at Wellington East Girls’ College and 9.00am – 12.00pm Sunday 15th May held at Te Rauparaha Arena, Porirua.
Registrations close Monday 18th April 2011 so get yours back to us today!
