State Life Membership Award Recipients
On the 15th December 2018, Danny and Angela Goodwin have been recognised for their dedication to the sport and received State Life Membership Awards.
2018 is a milestone year for Danny Goodwin. He has been involved in the sport for 40 years. Danny has been a volunteer, player, coach, mentor, referee, selector, State Operations Advisory Panel member and the current President of Canberra City Touch Club within Touch Football ACT for some years. Danny is mostly recognised for his coaching achievements. Danny has coached almost every junior and opens division ranging from Canberra City Bears to coaching Australian representative sides.
Danny has been the force behind Canberra City Bears and the success the club has received is due to the hard work, dedication and passion for the sport.
Danny will be coaching the Australian Women’s 30’s coach for the 2019 World Cup.
Angela Goodwin has been involved in the sport for 40 years and has been a key member in the community that has seen touch football grow in the ACT. Ange has been a coach, manager, referee, administration (ACT Touch Football and Canberra City Bears).
Ange is highly regarded in the Touch Football ACT community for her countless hours she has dedicated to the sport and to her club. Ange has been the backbone for Canberra City Bears with all administration, finances and uniforms have been completed by Ange.
Danny and Ange will be moving to QLD in 2019 and as much as of a loss it is for Touch Football ACT, we thank both Danny and Ange for their dedication to the sport and wish you the best for your future endeavours.
