Wet Weather Policy

Touch Football ACT’s policy regarding wet weather is as follows:


Heavy Rain


  1. Games will go ahead and if necessary play/competition will be suspended until hazard clears.  If it continues to rain heavily, play/ competition will be suspended until further notice.


b) Lightning/ Thunderstorm(s)

When lightning is considered to be a possible or actual threat to a Touch Football game the following procedures is applicable:


Ground staff will observe the approaching storm and determine if games should be postponed or suspended.  It is recommended that games do not recommence until 30 minutes after the last sighting of lightning or sound of thunder.


c) Hail/ Ice on ground

Play/ Competition will be suspended immediately until hazard clears.
