Super League: Round 3

Tuggeranong Vikings came into Round 3 feeling fresh after their Round 2 bye with a solid performance against Canberra City Bears. Ben Wylie was fast out of half setting up a handful of touchdowns for his wingers. Canberra City's Steve Callender showed his talent scoring a double, both of quick thinking dives! Tuggeranong proved too strong, beating Canberra City 14-4.

Northern Phoenix donned their new playing kit in a tight win over Woden Eagles (9-6). Woden played strong throughout the game with the scores locked up at 5 touchdowns a piece at half time. However Phoenix soared in the second half with a second-half double to Cam Burdett. Phoenix's links showed their talent throwing 20 metre plus right-to-left long balls hitting their wingers on the chest all night.

We are in for a treat next week with a Grand Final rematch between Phoenix and Vikings in the Men's competition. The game will be held on the 1st November at 7:40pm (Field 9).
