...Chasing Cars All-star’s v D&D Precision Automotive Aces Teams Meeting
Wow, spectacular racing on Saturday night with the Aces V All-star’s teams Meeting. Team Managers Nigel and Rob were kept on their toes. Team Allstars went into the final with the most points. Heeps leapt to the top of the scoring table winning all of heats followed closely by Daniel Winchester who had some epic rides against the Aces team, Smart again showed polish on the track with a couple of wins.
Drew Winchester won his first race, providing all important points to the team. Gittus kept Smith on his toes and displayed impressive racing whilst Boujos and Ziedas are definitely picking up speed! Scoble provided the crash of the night, wrecking two fence panels and sustaining a season ending fractured wrist and wrecked bike.
Smith top scored for the Aces, his team must have been tweaking those bikes all week; Senior had a successful nights racing, with second highest points. Cupitt and Bates had a mixed bag of fortune having slide outs and exclusions and brilliant wins, Heys was unfortunate to not be in the final with two massive wins on the night. Furfaro and Rutherford were unlucky to not pick up swag of points again picking up speed throughout the night.
The final saw Heeps and Winchester line up against Smith and Rutherford with Heeps showing the spectators that he has not forgotten how to ride the Pinjar Track. Winchester was kept to the outside by Coles and Rutherford with Coles gaining a second spot and Rutherford, third. Allstars scored 61 points on the night over 52 by the Aces Team.
The peewee division had a great night, coming into the main program for the first time and getting their names into the written program!
Our junior 125cc field was reduced to four for the night, L Killeen dominated the night with Phillipson taking a win, and McDiarmid continues to pick up skills and speed whilst D Killeen borrowed a bike with mixed results. The final saw L Killeen cross the tapes ahead of McDiarmid and Phillipson.
In the 125cc SuperLites there were riders going everywhere and a 50cc rider trying out the 125cc bike with huge success. M McDiarmid stepped up to the tapes on the 125cc and took out 4 of the races, top scoring with 14 points on the night! J King had an interesting night and continues improving his racing swapping laps with Rowland throughout the night. Smith and B King are picking up speed in between mechanical issues.
A small sidecar fielded tonight – hopefully everyone is getting ready for the Sidecar spectacular at the next race meet. Importantly the Club welcomes another lady racer to the track – Tayla Charsley hopped onto the chair with Dad Scott. Father and son team “Olds” had a successful night with Clarke and Wingate getting amongst the action.

Lady spectators will go through the gate for $15 with $5 donated to Purple Bra Day plus Joy Gordon – our fundraiser extraordinaire is putting on a Hamper door prize – a raffle ticket to all women coming through the gate!
Ladies remember to wear purple on the night and riders bring a purple bra!
...Pinjar International Stadium
Fundraising is just about to hit full noise and preparations are now complete to make sure we have all bases covered.
Our theme will be Donate a Dollar. even if it just one single dallar, after all a million people donating one dollar is just the same as one person donating a million dollars. Your one dollar WILL make a difference.
That is, we encourage everyone to please help out
A new website has been set up with the kind donation of the site by Rod Slater of Eurocars. The website is dedicated to the progress of stadium construction and all things stadium related and is setup to be able to take donations. An added value is that there are many ways that supporters can be recognised for helping the club, see http://www.pinjarinternationalstadium.com.au/sponsorship/. The site will also accept donations of $1 or more.
A second gofundme site has been set up at https://www.gofundme.com/rtjuqhs4 These sites work really well with social media and we have set up a facebook page Pinjar Park International Stadium to work hand in hand with GoFundMe.
So what can you, the dedicated speedway fan do?
1. Check out the websites above, as you can see they are really great!
2. MOST IMPORTANT, donate your $1. Don't for one instant think your solitary dollar won't make any difference - it will, you just need to move that mouse to the link and click!. To put into context if every speedway fan on this email list donated just $1 we would have nearly $3000. That is enough to lay most of the track base.
3. AS IMPORTANT. Like our facebook page, share the above websites to all your facebook, instagram and other social media contacts and encourage them to donate $1, (just like you did!). To put that into context even if each speedway fan has only 20 'friends' our $3000 is now $60,000, enought to complete all the track retaining. Just imagine ...
4. Everytime you see a post Like the post or retweet our twitter message. Success lies in speading the message far, and often.
5. Remember, donate your $1 our future relies on your dollar...
. Stay tuned for a very major announcement.
As far as construction goes Bruce and Peter report that boxing out of the track is ready to begin to accept the road base ready for the top clay layers. This is despite some low life bottom feeding scum of the earth stealing our loader and water truck, which we luckily got back with minimum damage.
From your speedway club, we appreciate the loyalty and passion of our speedway fans,
