2007 ADFBA National Combined Championships

The ADF National Basketball Championships were held December 2007 at RAAF Base Wagga, Forest Hill New South Wales.

The Women's competition was won by ACT who defended their crown from 2006, while the Northern Territory men won their first ever National Championship. This was a special tournament with the inclusion of the New Zealand Army, five years since the New Zealand Air Force teams competed at ADFBA Championships.

Karen Herbert leading the ACT team, taking MVP honours; while Mitch Selwood in his first year at combined took the Men's trophy for NT. The awards kept coming for NT, with the Player's Player award going to Jeska Matthews and Jim Boekel.

Kate Hockings (NZ) & Sarah Legg (NSW) tied for the women's champion point scorers award, while Andrew Olechnowicz won the men's title for Victoria.

The three point-shoot out was cleaned up by NSW Trent Whiston and Amelia Walmsley, whose near perfect shooting display put the men to shame.

Bill Lawrie, ADFBA Coaching Director was awarded the Major Greg 'Frenchie' MacDougall Award for his long and ongoing contribution to the ADFBA.
