Registrations are now open for the SANFL Club Development Forum to be held at Adelaide Oval on Sunday February 18.
Starting at 9.15am, the event is designed for leaders and all club committee volunteers at community football clubs to obtain information and ideas as well as providing them with an invaluable opportunity to network with other key stakeholders in Community Football.
Keynote speaker will be highly respected former AFL administrator Terry Dillon, who is in regular contact with community football clubs through his business – Terry Dillon Solutions.
Dillon, who has been involved in sport for three decades, spent 16 years as an executive with AFL clubs Hawthorn, Collingwood and St Kilda.
Speaking on SANFL Radio, Dillon said he was looking forward to guiding SA Community Football club volunteers on how to implement medium to long-term planning for their club over a 3-5 year period.
The SANFL Club Development Forum will be an all-day event, with attendees also provided with the opportunity to attend elective sessions which relate to their club.
Elective sessions include information on attracting and retaining volunteers, committee structure, attracting sponsorship, fundraising and improving facilities.
The event is free of charge, with attendees provided with lunch and a range of resources to improve the operation of their community club.
