ONE-TIME All-Australian Leon Davis (pictured) is one among several former AFL players who will lead their State this month and next as rep season nears.
Davis, who enjoyed his best season in the AFL with Collingwood last year before walking out on the club over a contract dispute, joined his original WAFL club Perth.
Although unable to single-handedly lift the Demons from the bottom of the league ladder, Davis has enjoyed a solid start to the season at Lathlain Park.
Western Australia will venture to Adelaide to play South Australia later this month and in the SA team is one of SANFL club Central District's most consistent performers at league level, Eddie Sansbury.
Last season, Sansbury was awarded the Bulldogs' Most Consistent League Player trophy.
He is a triple premiership player at the powerhouse club, sharing in its success in the 2003, 2009 and 2010 grand finals.
Sansbury played 40 games for AFL club North Melbourne between 2004 and 2008. In 2009, he was Central's leading goalkicker (35) and represented his State last year.
Meanwhile, Williamstown's Brett Goodes will suit up for a strong Victorian side in its State game against Tasmania in Hobart, also later this month.
It will be the Vics' first State league match since playing Western Australia in 2010.
The Vics will be coached by Port Melbourne coach Gary Ayres.
Goodes is one of four Seagulls players chosen to play.
Nine of the 13 VFL sides have representatives but the initial squad can be amended by selectors.
* The WA-SA and Victoria-Tasmania games will be played on Saturday 26 May. Both games will be televised live by ABC TV and, presumably, replayed nationally the following week on ABC1 (check local guides).
