Starting to Play
If you wish to start playing Basketball read on.
If your are in Prep, Grade 1 or 2 with no Basketball experience then PPBA Hoopster program is for you - you will learn the basic ball skills required to play Basketball. You don't need to be in a team to join the Hoopsters program, individual players are welcome. If you are a group of Boys or Girls that want to play together, we can cater for your skill development in the Hoopsters program as well.
If you are a group of Prep, Grade 1 or 2 Boys or Girls who have some basic basketball skills but are unsure of the rules of Basketball then come and join the PPBA Dribble, Pass ‘n’ Shoot progam where you will play in a modified game and we will help you learn the rules.
A team needs 7-10 players and a parent to coach. Dribble, Pass ‘n’ Shoot consists of a 20 minute skills session and a 20 minute modified games where Referees will explain rules as the game is played.

If you are a team of year 3-6 Boys or Girls,you can enter a team in PPBA Primary School competion.
If you are a team of year 7-12 Boys or Girls,you can enter a team in PPBA Secondary School competion.
