Perth Redbacks to play Shanghai Sharks

The Perth Redbacks’ Men’s team takes on the Shanghai Sharks Chinese Basketball Association team in an international basketball game on Monday 1st October at 6.30PM.

The game is to be held at the Belmont Oasis Leisure Centre, corner Alexander Road and Robinson Avenue Belmont.

It provides a rare opportunity for the local Belmont community and the basketball community in general, to see a high quality international basketball fixture between a strong Western Australian State Basketball League team and a Chinese Basketball Association team at this venue.

The Redbacks’ team that includes current and former Perth Wildcats’ players Michael Vigor, Joel Wagner, Jarrad Prior and Adrian Majstrovich will need to be at their best to secure a win against the might of the Sharks’ team.

This tough Sharks’ combination includes massive 223 centimetre centre ZhaoXu Zhang, along with forward Wei Lieu who was the starting point guard in the Chinese Olympic Basketball team this year and tried out for the National Basketball Association team the Sacramento Kings.

Cost of entry is just $10 for adults and $5 for children and concession card holders, with tickets available at the door.
