REDBACKS WIN SIX BASKETBALL WA AWARDS

Six awards were presented to members of the Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks at the 2009 Basketball WA annual awards night.
Brooke Hiddlestone won the highly regarded Women’s State Basketball League (SBL) Most Valuable Player award. Brooke also won the award for the highest average rebounds per game with 15.4 per game for a season total of 318.
Chris Lynch won the statistical award for the highest average score in the Men’s SBL with a game average of 29.47 for a season total of 560 points.
For the third year in a row, Joel Wagner won the award for the highest average number of assists in the Men’s SBL with 9.15 per game for a season total of 238.
Life Member Deb Fitzsimons won the Score-table Official of the Year.
Young referee Roauf Isa demonstrated his solid improvement in recent years in winning the Western Australian Basketball League Most Improved Referee Award.
The Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks is extremely proud of these achievements and congratulates all award winners.
