Benchmark Designer Homes WABL Wrap Round 11

In a tough day at the office the Benchmark Designer Home Redbacks’ WABL teams had a 4 win-12 loss record against the Wanneroo Wolves in their away-game fixture last Sunday.

Development League player Michael Vigor had the highest overall score for the Redbacks with 25. Under 16 Luke Fletcher and under 18 Jessica Jakens were the next highest on 24 each while under 15 Samantha Tognolini had 18 and under 12 Kyle Bowen 17.

The under 12’s Redbacks’ men’s team had a strong 59 to 44 win over the Wolves. Kyle Bowen top-scored with 17 while Luke Simonette had 14, Daniel Ong 13, Reece Hewitt 9, Nicholas Moody 4 and Joshua Armstrong 2. They are now in 2nd place in the 5-team Northern Conference.

The under 12 women’s team lost 15 to 61. Caitlin Thacker top-scored with 5, Chloe Smith had 4 and Maddy Craig, Jodan Parkin and Samantha Campbell all had 2. They are now in 5th conference place in their 6 team conference with 1 win and 10 losses.

The under 13 men’s team lost 47 to 76. They now have 5 wins and 6 losses and are in 4th conference place out of 6 teams. Adam Parora had 16, Stephen Pover 13, Ibrahim Soliman 8, Niocholas Ramsay 4, Jordan Hands 2, Max Whately 2 and Daniel Skelton 2.

The under 13 women’s team went down 42 to 64. Apologies to the team as unfortunately the official WABL website has not recorded individual scorers for the Redbacks at the time of preparing this article. They are now in 5th conference place with 2 wins and 8 losses.

The under 14 men’s team lost 29 to 74. They are in 4th conference place with 6 wins and 5 losses. Jeet Mann top-scored with 15, Jack Wagner had 7, Matthew Newell 3, Matthew Biletic 2 and Shaquille Maharaj 2.

The under 14 women’s team lost 22 to 55. Michelle Curro top-scored with 7 while Alison McKelvie and Jessica Richardson had 4, Joanna Hoang 2, Kyra Law 2 and Rebecca Sampson 1. They are currently in 5th conference place.

The Wolves under 15 men’s team beat the Redbacks 91 to 54. Jarret Donker top-scored with 16, Lattrell Matthews 15, Giordano Monteleone 8, Clint Jansen 6, Yoseph Soliman 5 and Jacob Marr 4. They are in 4th conference place with 7 wins and 4 losses.

The under 15 women’s team lost 44 to 127. Sam Tognolini top-scored with 18, Shayna Van Bakkum had 7, Blade Willison 6, Lucy Nol 4 and Tahlia Rogers 4. They are in 5th conference place out of 6 teams with 1 win and 10 losses.

The under 16 men’s team lost 44 to 103, which sees them with a season record of 3 wins 8 losses and in 5th conference place out of 6 teams. Luke Fletcher top-scored with 24 while Domenic Romeo had 10, Darren Lopez and Jake Staunton 3 and Matthew Ramanah and Liam Briggs 2.

The under 16 women’s team lost 54 to 64 in what was a tight encounter. Jessica Hughes top-scored with 16, Kristie Hawes 11, Lori Ashworth and Bianca Parora 8, Caitlin Largue 5, Sophie Mackin 4 and Abbey Harris 2. They are 4th in their 6-team conference with 6 wins and 5 losses.

The under 18 Division 2 men’s team lost 46 to 76. Unfortunately, individual scores have not been recorded on the WABL web-site at the time of preparing this article. The men are in 6th conference place.

The under 18 Division 1 men’s team narrowly lost 77 to 81. Again, scores are not recorded for the Redbacks’ team on the WABL website. They are in 5th conference place out of 6 teams with 4 wins and 7 losses.

The under 18 women’s team had a strong 58 to 55 win. This sees them with a season record of 6 wins and 5 losses and in 2nd conference place out of 6 teams. Jessica Jakens had 24, Gabby O’Sullivan 14, Jessica Hughes 6, Emma Black 4, Caris Cinardo 4, Elise Neates 3, Carlie Richardson 2 and Tiarn Burtenshaw 1.

The under 20 men’s team lost 44 to 92. They remain in 8th place out of 10 teams with 2 wins and 8 losses. Individual scores have not been recorded on the WABL website for this game.

The men’s Development League team retained top conference place following their 80 to 62 win. They have a season record of 10 wins and 1 loss in the 6-team conference. Michael Vigor top-scored with 25, Jarrad Jackson had 18, Reece Dempster 8 while Jake Whately, Tim Rendulic and Jared Faint all had 6, Blake Smith 5, Ashley Stephens 4 and Paul Cassir 2.

The women’s Development League team lost 44 to 62. Again, individual scorers have not been recorded on the WABL website for this game. They now have 8 wins and 3 losses and are in 3rd conference place out of 6 teams.

Round 12 is a home game for the Benchmark Designer Homes’ Redbacks against the Willetton Tigers this Sunday 1 August. Individual game times can be accessed via the WABL web-links in the Redbacks’ website is www.perthredbacks.asn.au (hopefully this will be working better than their recording of individual scorers). It is also the club’s photograph day so all players should arrive one-hour before tip-off.
