Meriweather Power-player of the Week
Southside Mitsubishi Redbacks' Jon Meriweather was
tonight awarded the Men's State Basketball League Powerplayer for Week five.
The award winning Meriweather shot the lights out in
his side’s 129-76 win over the AND1 Eastern Suns. He scored a career high 51 points at a field
goal percentage of 85.7% (24 successful shots from 28 attempt) together
with 15 rebounds, five assists and two steals.
He backed this up in the second game of the round against
the Australian Central Eagles with 18 points along with 15 rebounds and five
assists in the Redbacks' 109 to 90 point win.
The Redbacks congratulates Jon Meriweather on his
receiving this award.
