SBL Grand Finals Head Towards Sell Out

Despite the recent media attention about the sport, basketball in WA continues to boom. There is a strong chance that both Men’s & Women’s games may sell out before doors open for the first time in the history of the league.

“The Men’s SBL Grand Final (Saturday 22 August) sold out in just eight minutes when it went on sale to public on Tuesday morning, the quickest ever sell out in SBL Grand Final history” said SBL General Manager CJ Jackson.

In addition to this the league has had terrific interest in the Women’s game (Friday 21 August) with just over 100 tickets remaining.

Jackson was extremely pleased with the support, “This shows the great support grass roots basketball has in WA and we are very pleased the public is supporting our great sport.”

To make sure you don't miss out on your tickets, purchase in advance from the Basketball WA Office in one of the following ways:

  • Via Credit Card over the phone (9284 0555).
  • In person at Basketball WA (Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium, Meagher Drive Floreat) with cash or credit card.

Don't miss out on the last ever SBL Grand Final to be played at the iconic home of basketball, Perry Lakes Stadium. Book your tickets today to witness history before the move to the new 2,000 seat State Basketball Centre.

Both games will feature the best talent in Western Australia and promise to be nail biting encounters.

The Southlands Boulevarde Willetton Tigers feature two Go for 2&5 Perth Lynx players in Kate Malpass & Ashley Gilmore.

The Magic on the other hand feature plenty of experience in English International representative Shelley Boston, former Lynx players Katie Reed & Casey Mihovilovich and many more.

Tip off for both games is at 7:30pm at Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium.

For those who miss out on tickets you can watch a live statistical webcast at SBL.asn.au or tune in to 91.3 SportFM either on the radio or via their online streaming partner PerthNow for a live broadcast.
