THE Rockingham Flames made it a double over the Perth Redbacks on Saturday night to remain on top of both SBL competitions while Stirling also recorded a double over Willetton as did Mandurah over Perry Lakes.

There were four women's SBL matches to close out Week 10 on Saturday night with the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers beating the Schweigen East Perth Eagles 60-47, the Mandurah Magic downing the Perry Lakes Hawks 87-67, the Stirling Senators defeating the Willetton Tigers 64-55 and the Orange Autos Rockingham Flames winning over the Perth Redbacks 78-61.

The Slammers got their third win of the season by beating the Eagles by 13 points at Eaton Recreation Centre with South West now holding a 3-7 record while East Perth slips to 2-9 having scored just five points in the fourth quarter.

Amy Patton led the way for the Slammers with 31 points, 14 rebounds and six steals in an outstanding performance while shooting 12-of-25 from the field, and 5-of-13 from downtown.

Lauren Jeffers also added 17 points and four assists for South West in the win.

Stephanie Jones ended up with 12 points and nine rebounds for the Eagles with Brienna Nolan also adding 12 points on the back of shooting 5-of-8 from the field.

The Magic bounced back from a 25-point loss to the Lakeside Lightning on Friday by beating the Hawks by 20 points on Saturday at Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre.

Mandurah now improves to a 9-3 record on the season while the loss gives Perry Lakes two defeats for the weekend. The Hawks went down to the Joondalup Wolves by 20 points on Friday and now Saturday's loss sees them slip to a 4-6 record.

Gemma Thomas led the way for the Magic with 20 points, eight rebounds and two assists while shooting 7-of-13 from the floor with Hailey Dunham also adding 20 points and seven boards.

Emma Klasztorny contributed 16 points with Casey Mihovilovich finishing with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists as she recorded an impressive triple-double for the Magic.

Anna Kovats top-scored for the Hawks with 13 points, three rebounds and three assists with Rosie Tobin finishing with 12 points and nine boards, and Sarah Donovan 10 points and nine rebounds.

The Senators beat the Tigers by nine points at Willetton Basketball Stadium to see Stirling improve to a 5-3 record while Willetton continues to struggle now sitting on 3-8.

Tegan Walker top-scored for the Senators with 15 points and five rebounds with Taylor Wild contributing 14 points and eight boards, Taylor Bestry 14 points and Amber Land 13 to go with 10 rebounds.

Antonia Edmondson top-scored for the Tigers with 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocked shots with Mikayla Pirini adding 11 points, five boards and three assists, and Lisa Wallbutton 10 points and a massive 19 rebounds.

The Flames remained unbeaten and the Redbacks stayed winless after Saturday night's clash at Mike Barnett Sports Complex with Rockingham beating Perth 78-61.

The Flames now remain out ahead on top of the women's SBL standings with a 12-0 record while the Redbacks lost for the second time this weekend and now sit on 0-13.

Samantha Whitcomb had another huge night for the Flames with 29 points, four rebounds and three assists on the back of shooting 11-of-17 from the field and 5-of-10 from long range.

Darcee Garbin also contributed 15 points and six boards with Kaye Tucker adding 12 points, four boards, three assists and two steals for the Flames.

Gabby O'Sullivan top-scored off the bench for the Redbacks with 19 points, five rebounds and three assists with Alix Hayward adding 14 points and seven boards, and Jess Jakens 10 points and seven rebounds.

It was then a massive night in men's action starting with the Sun City Plumbing Geraldton Buccaneers beating the Joondalup Wolves 125-101 at Joondalup Basketball Stadium and the Kalamunda Eastern Suns defeating the Silver Lake Resources Goldfields Giants 119-112 at Neils Hansen Basketball Stadium.

The Vorian Agency East Perth Eagles beat the Collie Crane Hire South West Slammers 97-68, the Mandurah Magic downed the Perry Lakes Hawks 98-86, the Stirling Senators got over the Willetton Tigers 111-93 and the Orange Autos Rockingham Flames beat the Perth Redbacks 117-103.

It was a battle between second and third at Joondalup and it was the visiting Buccaneers who prevailed by 24 points to improve to a 9-3 record on the season while the Wolves slipped to 8-4.

Odartey Blankson was the star for Geraldton finishing with 31 points and eight rebounds on the back of shooting 12-of-19 from the field and 2-of-3 from three-point range.

Bennie Lewis finished with 24 points as well for the Buccaneers with Aaron Ralph adding 22 points and six rebounds off the bench.

Carter Cook also contributed 18 points and seven rebounds while shooting 8-of-14 from the floor for the Buccs.

Seb Salinas again top-scored for the Wolves with 24 points, seven assists and five rebounds with Rob Huntington contributing 21 points, six boards and three assists.

Jordan Wellsted also added 13 points and six rebounds off the bench with Brendan Tucek also contributing 12 points and four boards.

The Eastern Suns travelled to Kalgoorlie and recorded a seven-point win over the Giants which sees Kalamunda improve to a 3-10 record and Goldfields slip to 2-11.

Luke Nevill led the way for the Eastern Suns with 34 points, 16 rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots while shooting 12-of-16 from the field and 10-of-13 from the free-throw line.

Ben Smith also had a good night for the Suns with the skipper finishing with 30 points while hitting 8-of-14 from downtown.

Louis Timms also added 24 points and 12 rebounds with Adhar Mayen adding 15 points, eight boards and six assists.

Duran Blue did all he could for the Giants finishing with 31 points, 12 assists and nine rebounds.

Miles Tierney added 22 points as well for Goldfields with Lordan Franich contributing 17 points, Matthew Leske 11, Michael Haney 11 and Russell Hurst 10.

The Eagles then travelled to Bunbury and were terrific recording a 29-point victory which sees East Perth improve to 6-8 on the season and South West slip to 7-5.

Kyle Armour top-scored for the Eagles with 19 points, eight assists and four rebounds while shooting 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-5 from downtown.

Sunday Dech also contributed 17 points and nine rebounds for East Perth while Nikola Donlagic finished with 14 points and Austin Kisselev 10 points to go with six boards.

Perth Wildcats centre Tom Jervis took just the one field goal attempt, and missed, and had only five points, five rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots for the night.

His Wildcats teammate Mathiang Muo made his return from a ruptured Achilles tendon and in 18 minutes of court time, finished with eight points and four rebounds despite shooting just 3-of-12 from the floor and 2-of-9 from downtown.

Playing-coach Ty Harrelson led the way for the Slammers with 23 points, nine rebounds and four assists with Jonathan Todd Hendley contributing 17 points and Wade Hitchcock 11.

The Magic scored a solid 12-point win at home over the Hawks bouncing back from an 18-point loss to the Lakeside Lightning on Friday. It improves Mandurah to a 7-5 record while Perry Lakes slips to 5-7 having lost to the Joondalup Wolves on Friday.

Captain Taylor Mullenax had a terrific night for Mandurah with 28 points and 16 rebounds with Paul Hafford also contributing 28 points, seven boards and four assists.

Ben Smith added 27 points and 11 rebounds while shooting 9-of-16 from the field.

A combined 83 points and 34 rebounds from those three was enough to see Mandurah home over Perry Lakes.

Justin Cecil top-scored for the Hawks with 25 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals but shot just 10-of-28 from the floor and 1-of-11 from long range.

Corey Easley added 23 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, three assists and two steals also for Perry Lakes with Ben Purser contributing 22 points and nine boards.

The Senators' men then backed up their women's win at Willetton with Stirling winning by 18 points to improve to a 5-5 record with Willetton continuing to struggle now sitting at 4-8.

Austin Bruton top-scored for Stirling with 24 points and seven assists while shooting 8-of-14 from the field and 5-of-8 from downtown.

Josh Throns also added 19 points for the Senators, Cory Cooperwood 19 points and 12 rebounds, Cody Ellis 18 points and seven boards, and Jordan Wild 17 points to go with a massive 22 rebounds, five assists and two blocked shots.

Willetton's two imports again led the way with Quinn McDowell finishing with 35 points and 11 rebounds with John Dickson adding 25 points and 14 rebounds.

Jacob Reed also added 13 points for the Tigers and Nicholas Cody 10.

The Flames then maintained their advantage atop the men's SBL standings with a 14-point win at home over the Redbacks.

The win sees Rockingham improve to a 12-3 record on the season while Perth was unable to back up its win on Friday over Cockburn with the loss taking the Redbacks to an 8-6 record.

Cooper Land came off the bench for the Flames but still played almost 45 minutes and finished with a massive 46 points and 15 rebounds while shooting 15-of-21 from the field and 4-of-7 from three-point territory.

Taylor Land also contributed 24 points, nine assists and six rebounds for Rockingham with Andrew Bowman scoring 14 points, Ryan Godfrey 12 and Tom Remmerswaal 11.

Jarrad Prior led the way for the Redbacks with 26 points while Stan Okoye finished with 23 points, 13 rebounds and four assists. Dennis Tawhiti also added 18 points and nine rebounds.
