Rosinski inks deal with Perry Lakes

The Men’s Perry Lakes Hawks SBL team has continued it’s fantastic offseason by announcing the signing of Matthew Rosinski.

Rosinski, originally from Phoenix, Arizona, spent last year playing for the Goldfields Giants before going down late in the season with an ACL injury.

Through this setback an opportunity arose, through club sponsor Craig Hughes (of Total Connections).

“We actually have a really good relationship, me and Craig,” Rosinski said.

“He was in the hospital with me when I was getting my knee reconstruction.”

This relationship was the catalyst for Rosinski signing with the Perry Lakes Hawks.

“It was an opportunity that was given to me so I took it.”

Matt’s relationship with Craig Hughes was not the only thing that drew him towards the club.

“Hawks is the best club in the SBL in my opinion, it has the facilities and the heritage,” he said.

“It also has an enormous amount of respect, and I respect that.”

The signing of Rosinski means that Perry Lakes will have one of the deepest backcourts in the league featuring other names like Richardson, Dixon, Nolan, Pekin, Harloe and Riches.

Matt has been putting in lots of hard work since arriving with returning guard, and his new housemate, Travis Hayto and both of them are sure to be ready for the start of the season.

“We’ve got to get to the championship game, get to the same spot as last year and do well.”

“But we have to start at game one and not get too far ahead of ourselves.”

The Perry Lakes Hawks kick off their season at home against Mandurah on Friday the 16th of March.
