Milestone Weekend in SBL

Three players will celebrate SBL Milestones this weekend in Austin Bruton (Senators), Rhett Della (Flames) and Jarrd Prue (Lightning) who will all hit the court for their 200th SBL games. 

Bruton will play game number 200 against the defending Champion Tigers on Saturday night at Willetton Basketball Stadium. 

The guard is in his ninth season in the SBL, having started in 1999 with the East Perth Eagles. Since then Bruton has seen action with the Redbacks, Cougars, Lightning & now is having a strong season with the Senators. 

Bruton has represented WA in both the Under 16 and Under 18 State Teams. He was a part of the bronze medal winning 1998 team. 

The 30 year also lists career highlights such as the Under 16 National Gatorade 3 on 3 Championship, NJCAA National Championship with Indian Hills Community College and being the starting point guard for the Australian Crusaders during the AND1 Tour.

Della started his SBL career in 2003 with the Cougars, where he spent six seasons. Since 2009 he has been with the Rockingham Flames. 

Career highlights for the forward include winning the 2006 & 2007 Cockbunr SBL MVP and the 2010 Rockingham MVP. Della played in an SBL Grand Final in his first season in the league, where the Cougars went down to the Hawks 76-72.

The 29 year old will play his 200th game on Saturday at Joondalup Basketball Stadium as the Flames tackle the Wolves in what will also be Wildcats Co-Captain Brad Robbins first game for Wanneroo. 

SBL rebounding machine, Jarrad Prue, will also suit up for his 200th game on Saturday night against Mandurah at the Mandurah Aquatic & Recreation Centre. 

The nine season SBL veteran has played 190 of his 199 games for the Lightning, having played nine games at the Willetton Tigers in 2005.

Prue has competed in four SBL Grand Finals and won two with Lakeside in 2006 and 2010. 

The centre is a regular winner of the SBL Rebounding award and again leads the league in rebounding this season, averaging 20.3 rebounds per game.
