WA key plank of vision for basketball's future

Opals coach Carrie Graf's dream is for Australian girls to one day be able to grow up and become professional basketballers in their own country.

But the veteran women's coach knows there is a vast amount of work to be done before that dream is realised.

In Perth to see the new Basketball WA development programs first-hand and conduct coaching clinics with local players this week, Graf saw huge potential in the west and considers WA an important part of her long-term vision.
