SUMMER SEASON IMPORTANT INFORMATION
WELCOME TO GLADSTONE JUNIOR BASKETBALL
SUMMER SEASON 2016/17
We would like to welcome all our new and returning players to our Summer Season.
Our draw is put up each week on our webpage and also on our face book page (Gladstone Junior Basketball)
Wet weather cancellations / changes to team lists / and the draw will also be put up on both as the information comes to hand. Please make sure you check if in doubt.
For Summer Season, the Junior office will be open from 3.30 – 6.30 pm every Thursday unless otherwise advised. If you need to see someone please send us an email to work out another time.

If you require an extension, please come and talk to the office on Thursday nights
CLUB TRAINING - We do have a beginner club training session which will be $5 per player per session and will run Wednesday afternoons from 3.30-4.30pm on the Outside court with Coach Ray Cooper. These will start Wednesday 19th October.
IMPORTANT TEAM INFORMATION
Gladstone Junior Basketball is run by a small group of parent volunteers. To help the season run smoothly, we require parents to be patient through the first few weeks until we get teams sorted evenly. As below, we rely on parents and carers to help our fixtures to run each week…. If you need any information or have any special requests, please see Angie on Thursday nights or by email as below.
- SCORERS - ALL TEAMS are required to supply 1 Score person for every game. If you are unsure how to score, please come and see us in the office and we will get someone to show you.
- COACHES / MANAGERS - FOR DIVISIONS 4, 3 & 2 - Every team requires to have at least 2 parent volunteers to manager / coach the team listed on the team list. We will be running a Club Coaching Course and information will be sent out in the next few weeks on this. Some coaches also organise team training sessions outside of junior games – but that’s up to the individual coaches to organise.
Games will not start until there is a coach / manager sitting on the bench with the team and a score person from each team. Game time may need to be reduced if too much time is wasted.
We are always looking for volunteers for our committee and to assist running our fixtures. If you are able to help out in any way, please contact Angie at the junior basketball email address.
